Introduction

Roles with access

Only administrators have access to all categories within the platform. Managers are restricted to their own category.

This section displays all media files created by users within one or more categories.

For more information on how to use media as a user, see the following guide: Media

Media

This section shows all media uploaded to the platform.

  • Upload from URL : Allows uploading media from this section.

This will display a window where you can fill in the following fields:

    • URL: Download link for the media/ISO.
    • Name: Desired name for the media.
    • Type: The type of media being uploaded. It can be:
      • ISO CD/DVD (for operating system installation).
      • Floppy (for installing lightweight systems or drivers).
      • Qcow2 (virtual hard disk).
    • Description: A short description of the media being added.

Once the media is uploaded, you can see which desktop or template is using it in the virtual machine configuration. Once it is no longer applied, even if the ISO is still downloaded, this information will disappear.

Each media has the following available actions:

  • Show last task info : Checks if the "Check media" task is currently running.

  • Check media status : Verifies if the media exists and whether the ISO file is physically present on disk. If it does not exist, it will be automatically deleted.

  • Create desktop from media : Creates a virtual desktop from the media.

  • Changed allowed users {width="5%"} : Changes the sharing permissions of the media.

  • Change owners : Changes the ownership of the media.

  • Delete media : Deletes the media.
