You will then access this page:
Here you will find two sections. The top section shows a chart of the desktops logs. In the lower section, more detailed logs are displayed.
What are Logs?
Logs or records are files or entries that, in this case, desktops generate when they start up, shut down, or perform any other action. In Isard, there is only easy access to logs generated at startup.
Logs¶
In this section, you can view a graphical representation of the logs.
This rendering shows the amount of desktop startup instances that are recorded daily. Each entry corresponds to the start-up of a virtual desktop within the platform.
Several features are available with this chart:
By default, it displays as a bar chart. Pressing the first button next to the chart changes it to a line graph:
The last button downloads a .png image of the currently displayed chart. The image will be downloaded with the name Daily starting_time items.png
Desktops¶
In this second section, you’ll find a table where the displayed data matches that shown in the chart above.
The table includes the following views:
This view shows all started desktops, regardless of user or category, ordered by start time.
The columns are:
- Starting time: Shows the exact date and time the desktop started.
- Desktop name: The name of the desktop.
- User name: The name of the desktop’s owner.
- User group: The group to which the user belongs.
- User category: The category the user belongs to.
This view displays starts grouped by desktop. If your platform has many desktops, it may affect page load time, especially depending on the selected time range.
- Starts: Total number of starts for the desktop.
- Desktop name: Name of the desktop.
- User name: Name of the user who owns the desktop.
- User group: Group the user belongs to.
- User category: Category the user belongs to.
This view shows starts grouped by user category.
- Starts: Total number of desktop starts.
- Unique desktops starts: Number of unique desktop starts in the category.
- Category name: Name of the category.
Config¶
This page provides configuration options for desktop logs.
To access it, scroll down to the bottom of the current section and click:
Old logs¶
In this section, you can configure automatic deletion of logs older than a specified time. This process is executed daily at 00:30 UTC.
Tip
It's recommended to keep desktop logs for a longer duration than the Desktop Timeout value to avoid deleting logs of active desktops.
