Reset VPN

The "Reset VPN" button allows you to regenerate new user VPN keys. When you click this button, the existing associated VPN keys will be replaced with new ones, so a new VPN file must be downloaded in order to use the VPN again.

This is useful if you suspect that your current VPN keys may have been compromised or if you simply wish to refresh your VPN connection.

See Quotas

Quotas define the amount of resources that can be used based on the group to which the user belongs.

Here you can see all the resources that have been used.

Understanding Your Quota Display

The quota section shows your current resource usage compared to your allowed limits. Each row displays:

  • Resource name: What type of resource is being tracked
  • Used / Total: How many you're currently using out of your maximum allowed
  • Percentage bar: Visual indicator of how close you are to your limit

Quota Types Explained

Creation Quotas - Maximum number of resources you can create:

  • Desktops (Persistent): Total persistent desktops you can have. These remain after shutdown.
  • Desktops (Temporal): Total non-persistent desktops. These are deleted after shutdown.
  • Templates: Maximum templates you can create from your desktops.
  • Media: Maximum ISO/media files you can upload.
  • Deployments: Maximum deployments you can own.

Running Quotas - Limits when starting desktops:

  • Concurrent Desktops: Maximum desktops you can have running at the same time.
  • vCPUs: Total virtual CPUs across all your running desktops.
  • Memory (GB): Total RAM across all your running desktops.
  • Deployment Desktops: Maximum deployment desktops you can start as deployment owner.

Storage Quotas:

  • Total Size: Maximum disk space for all your desktops, templates, and media combined.
  • Soft Size: Warning threshold - you'll receive notifications when reached, but can continue working.

Which Quota Applies to You?

The quota display shows whether your limits come from:

  • User quota: Personal limits set specifically for you (highest priority)
  • Group quota: Limits inherited from your group
  • Category quota: Limits inherited from your category

Your most restrictive quota level is automatically applied. Administrators can view this in the quotas management section.

What to Do When Approaching Limits

Approaching Your Quota Limit

When you're close to a quota limit:

  1. Delete unused resources: Remove desktops, templates, or media you no longer need
  2. Stop running desktops: Shutdown desktops to free concurrent/vCPU/memory quotas
  3. Empty recycle bin: Items in the recycle bin still count toward quotas - permanently delete them
  4. Request increase: Contact your administrator if you need higher limits

Common Quota Scenarios

Can't create a new desktop? - Check if you've reached your desktop creation quota - Verify group/category limits haven't been reached - Permanently delete items from your recycle bin

Can't start a desktop? - Check your concurrent desktop quota - Check if starting would exceed your vCPU or memory quota - Stop other running desktops first

Can't upload media or create templates? - Check your media or template quota - Check your total storage size quota - Delete unused resources to free up space

Shared Resources Don't Count

Resources shared with you by other users don't count toward your quotas. Only resources you own are counted.

Deployment Desktops Are Separate

Desktops created through deployments don't count toward your regular desktop quota. They have their own separate "Deploy desktops" quota.
